Opening sequence for Louis-José Houde’s show “Mille mauvais choix” (A Thousand Bad Choices). A deeply personal show about the disappointments, missteps, and decisions in the life of a privileged individual, it explores the difference between expectations and realities.
To reinforce the theme of “bad choices,” we used an old-school overhead projector for our opening. We also made a quick trip to Copie 2000 to photocopy all of our visuals onto transparencies and vellum paper. The idea of going back to basics and using analog techniques was something that we found very appealing!
